Intercommunal trainings
Intercommunal trainings are workshops for participating municipalities that provide actors from communal educational landscapes with the opportunity to acquire methods and training in ESD in order to professionalise municipal development processes and make them more effective, systematic and target-oriented. To this end, the ESD Competence Centre invites experts and speakers – both scientists and professionals on the ground – to share their insights on topics related to the issues faced by the municipalities.
The workshops are held four times a year at each office of the ESD Competence Centre or at other suitable locations. The number of participants is limited. Participation is open to all municipalities that have signed a target agreement with the ESD Competence Centre. The individual events address specific target groups, with varying agendas depending on location and topic.
Intercommunal learning spaces
Intercommunal learning spaces provide a platform for municipalities to share experiences, to network and to learn among and from each other. They are organised and moderated by the ESD Competence Centre on specific topics according to demand, with experienced municipalities sharing their practical experience and knowledge.
These events are offered twice a year by all the three offices. The number of participants is limited. Participation is open to all municipalities that have signed a target agreement with the ESD Competence Centre. The individual events address specific target groups, with varying agendas depending on location and topic.
Other events
In addition, the ESD Competence Centre plans to organise a number of nationwide and EU-wide events. For more information on these events, please refer to the respective event announcement.
