Regional offices
The ESD Competence Centre carries out process facilitation and accompanying research throughout Germany, with offices in three regions.
North-East Germany Office
The North-East Germany Office supports model municipalities in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Brandenburg, Berlin, Saxony-Anhalt, Saxony and Thuringia. The team is based in Halle (Saale) and provides services ranging from process facilitation, evaluation and accompanying research to public relations and event management. It further coordinates the joint network in close collaboration with our other offices and the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research in Leipzig.

The Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research - UFZ is home to an additional accompanying research and evaluation team located in Leipzig.

North-West Germany Office
The North-West Germany Office supports model municipalities in Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg, Lower Saxony, Bremen and North Rhine-Westphalia. The team, located in southern Lower Saxony (in Bissendorf near Osnabrück) provides process facilitation, public relations and event management services, working closely with our process evaluation teams.

South Germany Office
The South Germany Office supports model municipalities in Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, Hessen, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland. The Munich-based team covers the areas of process facilitation, evaluation and accompanying research, in addition to event management services, with close collaboration with the staff at the other offices and the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research in Leipzig.
